Kameryn Furman

Kameryn grew up in STL competitively training and competing for synchronized skating (started at the age of 3). She trained for Ice Dancing as at the same time and became the 3rd athlete in the U.S. to pass the Finnstep Ice Dance Test at the age of 15. In 2009, in high school, she began coaching private lessons and younger synchronized skating teams.

She attended Washington University in St. Louis for Mechanical Engineering.
During her freshman year, also competed on Saint Louis Synergy Junior team for their inaugural season. In her Sophomore year, she became one of the assistant coaches for Synergy Junior. They represented the USA as Team USA at the Mozart Cup in Salzburg, Austria. Kameryn participated in Team USA as a coach both seasons.

After graduating in 2016 she moved to Kansas City to begin a career at Burns & McDonnell as a Mechanical Engineer. That same year she began coaching for KC Illusion and started the local adult synchro program. 
Kameryn became the Director for KC Illusion synchro teams and from 2018 to 2024, saw the team grow from 45 athletes to 112.
In 2022, her Adult team became the first KC-based team to qualify for Nationals! In April 2022, Kameryn was HERLIFE Magazine's Cover Girl. 
In 2023, the Illusion Masters team became the first KC-Based national medalists for Synchro and became the Adult ISU International Bronze Medalists in Oberstdorf, Germany. After rebranding in June 2023 the organization went from KC Illusion to KC MOMENTUM Synchronized Skating Team. In 2024, the Masters team placed 6th at Nationals.

In 2024 Kameryn won the KC Women's In Sports Award  - Leadership Award.
