About
Kimberly Rapp
Kim is a small town girl who was raised in the first French village established on the western side of the Mississippi River. Sainte Genevieve is an agricultural town whose past is riddled with devastation of flood. Kim witnessed first-hand the havoc the Mississippi River caused when it swallowed up her farming town in the Flood of 1993.
She went on to become a beloved educator for the Mehlville School District in the St. Louis area where she taught middle school science, and then later taught for the Ste. Genevieve R-II School District. Kim once thought she'd teach every grade then write a book about children and her experiences; however, a different dream started taking over once her own children were born.
She yearned for a simpler life where her children were surrounded in nature. Kim developed Valley Abloom LLC right on the property she and her family live. She has started to grow organically grown flowers. Two of her three children are homeschooled now and there is an intense focus on living a simple life surrounded by the beauty and wonder of nature. Life is full of home-cooked meals, good books, and time in the vegetable and flower gardens. If you know Kim, then you know she's not famous, but her chocolate chip cookies are! She loves dogs and keeps 2 rescues alongside her husband's heeler. She loves staying home and takes pride in building a business with her children in tote.
Valley Abloom LLC is a small business with intentions on staying small and manageable while raising children. Locals enjoy the fresh, seasonal bouquets. What's the end goal? Valley Abloom LLC hopes to make an impact on the community and a return to family and nature. Join Valley Abloom LLC as they learn how to grow a variety of flowers, homestead, teach children, and maybe even help change the flower industry some day! Here's to more homegrown flowers in florist shops, and vegetables and fruits grown without any of the scary stuff. Kim hopes more people will grow some of their own flowers and vegetables and keep a chicken or two if they are able!
