About
My name is Morgan Grzybowski
My name is Morgan Grzybowski and I am a rising junior in college at the University of Alabama. I am majoring in Biology on the pre med track with aspirations of becoming a doctor! Everyday I aim to spread positivity and effect meaningful change in the lives of others, whether small or large. A way that I have been able to fulfill that passion has been through the formation of the first ever Alabama Women’s Hockey team. Myself and three other amazing girls deciding this past year that we needed to do something about our lack of a women’s team considering there are THREE men’s teams. Hockey is not recognized much in the south, especially on the women’s side, so our team is about something larger than just us, it is a way to inspire the next generation of little girls. This team has allowed me to get involved in the community in the most amazing ways, and it’s been truly life changing to see the effects of our efforts. Outside of hockey, I dedicate a lot of my time towards my passion for the medical field as I dream to become a doctor. I volunteer at my college’s local hospital, where I have made incredible connections with patients. Learning their stories and having the chance to be a person they can feel comforted by is so rewarding and has only validated the career path I have chosen. These experiences further opened my eyes to the need for health care professionals to have empathy, which is a skill often overlooked in the medical field. I am the Vice President of the club Dare to Diagnose, which emphasizes the importance of those good patient interactions. Whether through my love of hockey, passion for healthcare, or simple everyday interactions, my mission remains constant: to radiate positivity and inspire those around me.
